Showers

Yesterday our showers, bathroom mirrors and towel rails appeared magically out of nowhere, even our painter who is in the middle of painting the interior of the house didn't realise they had been fitted until this morning. Painting should be completed by next Tuesday and then we are really getting close!

Bits and bobs

Well we have a few things to update as we have been given the 3-4 week notice by our site supervisor! So close.

Here is our glass tile splash back in the kitchen. It looks a little greyer in this picture than it actually is, it's quite a nice silver blue colour. Our tiler has now finished and he's done a fantastic job.

Our rear roller door has been installed, the front panel-lift is yet to be seen however it will be the same colour.

We have also had our 12000 litre custom water tank built out the back. It should be plumbed later this week and we are quite proud of it.

Plumbing fix

Today all of our plumbing fixtures were fitted, here are some of them for you to look at.

Our shower taps, the bath taps are the same.

The spa in the ensuite, I know you've seen this before but now it has taps.

Basin mixer tap, these are in the ensuite and the main bathroom.

Bath in the main bathroom.

Ensuite with a loo now.

As you may have noticed earlier our kitchen benchtop is in, subsequently we have a sink and mixer in here as well.

Our benchtop - first sight

Earlier this week out benchtop finally went in. Essa Stone Basmati for those of you that had forgotten. We have to put up with 'through the window' shots for now. I hope to get into the house later this week for a good look (and touch), so should be some more photos too.

A bit of a closeup but hard to see much through the window. Still, it looks nice from here.

Tiling - Pt 2

I know this post is about tiling but we have handles in the kitchen too, however as you can see we have no benchtop still, now we are being told Monday or Tuesday... ish?

Anyway, the handles look very cool and the tiling work is excellent. Our tiler has been fantastic and has been running every small thing by me which has been reassuring.

So here are our kitchen handles.

The ensuite tiling has been finished and it just needs a good clean, some silicon and a lick of paint, oh and some fixtures and a toilet will be nice too. But it's getting there!

Tiling - Pt 1

Well we have some tiling done after a week or two of delays due to our spa not being ready. But we can put that behind us, the spa is in place and things are coming along.

The front porch was tiled first and has been grouted so it looks complete but just a little dirty (as seen below).

A close up of the charcoal grey coloured porch tiles.

The spa that has proven harder to get than we thought it should. It's in now and they've packed it in place with that muddy dirty stuff, made the whole house filthy as well!

The shower alcove in the main bathroom (no grout yet). The ensuite floor has almost been completed and early next week the walls of both bathrooms will be finished.

Just a shot of the laundry, included to illustrate our 400x100mm white wall tiles that will be used in the bathrooms as well. The light grout will soften these off when they're finished.

In other news our kitchen benches should be installed next week so we will have pictures as soon as the stone is in, once these are in the glass tiled splashback can be completed too. These pictures are a bit grotty but things should get tidier once the tiler finishes and they prep for the painters.
